| for me a couple of lures prooved great: - spinnerbaits (used them a lot a few years ago but they got out of sight somehow) - legend husky crankbaits - reef hawgs (finally, after one year with not even as much as a strike, now they started producing. Both in 6" and 8") - my divani zig zag glider (used it way too little until now) | |||

| I would have to say that twitching Slammers has worked for me this year, and the Undertaker has also been a new go to bait. | |||

| Well old reliable is still old reliable and accounted for 8 of the first 11 fish in the fall season, but...I always like new baits and enjoyed a couple this fall. Triple D, already talked about it. It fills in a spot I really didn't have any bait for, before, and will replace a couple that I have used and not been very happy with in a couple other situations. Another bait I used that I liked was the Oddessy original pig Jr., I know many will laugh but found one in the package at the flea market in reverse shading and thought for $3 I could always make a really nice casting weight out of it, but guess what, I found it easy to work and raised 3, hooked up with 2, and boated 1 legal that first afternoon. Unfortunately on a bait like this it will take some time to sort out whether it is actually superior, or just another bait. As a twitchbait it fills in the same blank as several other baits I could also throw, including the small bobbie and several others, but it is MORE erratic and has a little higher bouyancy. I will have to sort it out when the water warms up. But if you guys have some you need to get rid of, send em to me. The one advantage this bait may have is a different sound/pressure wave signature than anything else they see and it may get hit for that reason(they don't know it can hurt them-yet). Most of my other "new" baits were "old" baits that for one reason or another I got on a kick with, or the situations favored that bait more than the normal spread. | |||

| Well, after the pool demo, I can tell you I will have two new confidence baits next year already. The Zam from zalt and the rubberhairy glider. I think I saw jesus yesterday! | |||

| I conclude the same thing as ToddM after attending the pool demon this weekend. That ZAM is a neat bait. I didn't get a chance to hold the RubberHairy Glider to see what kind of hook arrangement it has... but he action in the pool was cool. jlong | |||
