Maybe a stupid question but how do those of you that use a nail knot tie it to a swivel or snap for fluro leaders? I watched how to tie a nail knot but it only shows how to tie it for fly fishing (line to line).

Just tie a clinch knot (2,5 turns is perfect) to the swivel and a perfection loop to the snap.
Make sure to realy get alot of saliva and pull very quick and fast on the clinch knot to make it snug.

This is how Lee Tauchen does it: http://leetauchen.com/lees_leader_knot.pdf

Or you can buy the TraceMate Tool or the DuBro Nail Knot Tool to make it easier.

I use the Lee Tauchen knot that Zip posted. I tie 150# Seaguar and have no issues with it. I leave a loop rather than snugging it down tight (makes it easier to change snaps out) and finish the tag end with a crimp. Works very well for me. If you have problems making all the wraps and finishing the knot give yourself a longer tag end to work with.
