It is not are dream machine but this boat suits are needs to a tee. We bought a crestliner super hawk 16 at the Cleveland boat show Sat. Got a great deal!!!! This boat is perect for the waters we fish. We feel like new parents.

Looks like the Cave will be its first trial run.

Congratulations on your new family member!
Being that this is your first boat, don't rush to install all sorts of accessories right away!
Instead talk to others to see what worked and what doesn't
work from:
1)use-ability- could something be in the way while fighting a fish? Can wires be stepped on and break off? Will the sonar screens be visible with a group of people in the boat?
2)stowing and traveling- Will something be in the way when backing up the trailer at a tight angle, like the third wheel crank handle or the trolling motor prop? When going on vacation and packing the boat will things be in the way?
3)How will the boat cover be tied down? Can it be done and still allow access into the boat without having to remove everything?
4)Are there balance issues such as the location of multiple batteries or gas tanks which will affect the balance of the boat with only one in the boat?
There are a million things to consider. You have plenty of winter to decide how to accessorize, take your time and do it right the first time.

Very Cool guys and gals...[8)]

A new or "new to you" rig is always something to be excited about, especially if it's your first.

I'm sure you'll have lots of special memories..dream machine or not, you'll be in it together and that's what matters most.

Enjoy...[:)]

You'll love the Crestliner.

Is there any question as to what the "right bottle of hot sauce" is?

Finally,
I don't feel like such a pest. Someone else got their first "new/used" boat. I've been driving everyone crazy telling them how excited I am about our first "Real" boat. Man, spring can't get here fast enough. Trying to get to Cumberland,KY in mar for striper spawn. Hope it happens. Keep up the excitement, you two.And good luck in you new machine.

p.s. My wife thinks I should name our boat "Esox Follows" (excess follows) since that's about all I have to tell her about when I get home. Never claimed to ba a catcher. Only a fisherman! (hee hee)

Tell us a little more about your new addition? ie, Outboard motor, trolling motor, fishfinders, rod holders, etc.... I'm in the middle of rigging my new addition and am always curious as to other setups.

Enjoy,

Doc
