This year my favorites were TR twitchers and Zalts for casting, straight depth raiders and 6" deep diving grandmas for trolling.

My favorite all time is a Muskie Catcher brand "floating bucktail". Hair and blade color varies based on water color and current conditions....Spins better than any bucktail ever made and easily can be worked in any depth, especially over the weeds.

Not many spinnerbaits mentioned - that is without a doubt my go to bait. Add some big plastic trailer and your set!

I also always have some type of crank bait rigged....Crane's, slammers and jakes.

I've moved more fish on a [get this] 7" Cordell Red Fin but have caught more on a white Harresser with a gold willowleaf blade, but I fish mostly rivers here in W.Va.
They work for me ! Want to catch my first on a jerk bait, no success on them at all, I have moved exactly 0 fish on a jerk. Maybe I'll get a chance to see these " masters of the jerkbait" in action when I go to LOTW this fall. How about it folks, any takers on showing a new comer the way to fish a jerk?

Up until October it was a 8" Jake (Durst Stump Knocker)
Now it's a Zalt- 7.5" sinking in Parrot color (06). Going to be experimenting w/ some Durst custom color Zalts in 2003.

This year, with out a doubt, a 5' tuff shad in the shad color took most fish for me up to 48". Lil ernies followed close behind, but for casting burts/suicks are tied for #1. The suick would probably edge out the burt just because i caught a 49" last year and my first 50" last weekend.

I'm an old timer and never heard of most of the baits talked about in the last few years.
Trolling and very close to the top for casting is a #1800 Cisco Kid. The first bait I ever fished for Muskies with was a #600 Cisco Kid and I caught 7 Muskies in one day.

Well, I may be a bit partial, but I kinda like the Tuff Shads! Since I started making them, I've had more big fish in my boat than ever before. [:)]
