Well, after much trail, error, development and testing; I finally think I have the bait many have been requesting....Now I just need to get some fish under its belt this fall! The pond testing went very well....It has a very wide roll and wants to go straight down....Can't wait to see how deep this thing will go. It's smaller predecessor does 12' with about 40 foot of 80lb Power Pro out while trolling 5 mph with a max depth of approx 15-18'. I'm hoping to get 25' out of this bait!

I named it the Bero Sledge Hammer - named after my late father.

Looks great, a perfect scale up job.  Are you molding these from resin too?  How long is the bait?

Thanks!

Yes, these are resin molded baits....The little one is 5.5" the larger one is 7.5" Add about a 1/2" or so for Jointed models.

Well, My friend Joel and I decided to hit up a local lake yesterday for some fall action and to test out the new "Bero Sledge"...It was a cold, windy bichh of a day, but I wouldn't have changed it for anything! I don't often post pics of fish, but this one, I felt was special. Take a guess at this fishes length guys and I'll post it later.

It was caught on the new lure on the first ever day testing it...I looked up to the heavens and thanked the old man and low and behold - what appears in the sky? A freakin' rainbow!! Are you kidding me!!! The tears just started to flow right there! Wow!!! Thanks Dad, Thanks Joel! Thank you both for being a part of this day!!!

37" is correct...nice try on location though

Amazing how thick this fish was...heaviest of this length class I've ever caught for sure.
