The tip of my Slingblade busted off so I sent it back and did the gold star upgrade plan to get the big dawg. Has anyone done this upgrade plan and how long did it take to receive your new rod?

I've never upgraded just replaced the same broken rod except when they didn't offer the same model anymore. Mostly with a couple walleye rods. Always got the new rods real quick, less than a week usually from when I sent the rod out origanally.

I have a slingblade that the reel seat is so loose it spins around the blank...what do I need to do to get it replaced? I have only had the rod since July...should be a no-charge replacement on the Legend Tournament series right?

You can go to St Croix's website and get a discounted shipping label, then what I do is ship them the rod with a letter about what's wrong with it and your contact info. They will call you and you can pay the return shipping over the phone. That way you don't have to send a check or anything with the rod. You can also call the repair center before you ship it, the number is on the website. They have top notch customer service in my opinion.

No its a $75 charge for the legend tournament but if it's a manufacture default its like $20 or$30
And just say you don't want the slingblade again and you want the.big dawg or big nasty you pay the difference between the 2 brand new rods which is only $10

I've received my rod within a week after St Croix contacted me when sending them in under the Gold Star Service Plan.
