| I was messing around with my sonar unit up front and I had to take the front plate off the boat. Which is not a big deal just 6-7 screws. I noticed that the rod locker tubes had caps on the end of them with atleast a 1.5 foot to go until the front of the boat. This limits the length of the rods that you can fit into your rod locker to 8 foot. I took a 10 foot stick of 3/4" pvc and slid it down the rod tubes that I wanted to get a 8.5-9 foot rod into and popped the caps off.
I am just confused why ranger would limit themselves to less space. But I guess I haven't seen a 9' bass rod yet
Let me know if your boat is the same and if this worked out for you.
Thanks

| I have an older 680c with only 7 feet of rod storage. I am wondering if I could do this with mine. Anyone try it? The ends of the rod tubs are under the front deck so I can't access the area to check if there are caps. It seems like there MAY be some room up there but probably not near as much as in a 520. |
