I have been on a search for Bikini Bait's TurmOilX Glide Bait for quite some time (if you see the action this thing has on this one clip on YouTube, you will know why I was looking for one). Well, I found Bikini Baits web site, which lead me to MuskieTackleOnline.com, but MTO didn't have any for purchase. Then I saw a guy post on here with BikiniBaitCompany.com under his post. I sent him am IM asking if he owned the company and if he was still making TurmOilX Gliders. He responded that he indeed owned the company and was in the process of making some TurmOilX lures. Long story short, my six TurmOilX's (I only have 5 pictured) arrived in the mail yesterday and I was blown away! These lures are incredible! He even made me a custom color pattern (Skunk). These baits were hard to find, but I have a feeling that it would have been worth the search.

Jed makes some great baits. I just bought 4 Turmoilx in the last few days myself.. I am a big fan of his baits having 39 already.. Jed has a bunch on ebay right know for those that might be interested.. Maybe we can talk him into making a 10" version.. Ray

To the guest asking about where to get the lures........

If you are in Europe they are available at:

attitudebaits.com (Sweden)
jerkbait.com (germany)
Franglaisfishing.com (UK)
http://jerkmania.ru (Russia)

If in the USA......you can contact me directly or I have a good number of them on ebay right now.

Thank you.

Jed

Yes I can read, however I was in the process of placing a MTO order. I figured if they were going to be in stock soon I was going to hold off on my order til they got them in, thats all. Thanks for the info.

How does the action on these lures compare to a Manta? They look very similar.

Thanks!

Turmoilx really look nothing like a Manta other then the lexan tail.. The 2 baits are very different in shape.. The Manta has a longer glide but not by much. The Turmoilx has more belly roll witch isn't that much and more wobble on the drop.. I can work a Turmoilx way faster then a Manta and as easy as a Manta is to work a Turmoilx is easier.. Both baits catch fish and i use both..

For those interested, this is video a customer in Norway did on his blog showing two of my jerkbaits...the Turmoilx and the new Tripwire.

In the video you will repeatedly see two jerkbaits working side by side. The jerkbait on the left side of the video is the Turmoilx, the one on the right is the new Tripwire I am building.

The jerkbaits show up throughout the video so watch it until the end.

Excellent bait. Great service from Jed.

Got a few of these for a June Pike trip in Manitoba. Very easy to work and really nice side to side glide. Put a nice fat 43" in the boat for me.

I can probably answer that for you.........the Tripwire and Turmoilx are both 7 inches in length. The Tripwire weighs a little bit more, like a half ounce more. They have a similar glide path but if you are fishing shallow or over the top of weeds the Tumroilx would probably be a good choice. If fishing deep water where you would like the bait to stay down then I would recommend the Tripwire. Hope that answers your question. Posted a couple pictures, the first two are of the Tripwire followed by a Turmoilx at the bottom.

I appreciate all the positive comments........thank you.

Jed V.
