| When I'm fishing for bass I'm mostly a "contact" fisherman. I like to work texas rigged stuff off a shore line and into structure or right around structure. I do well like this. I rarely throw cranks or anything else. Fishing depths with musky lures is new to me. Ive been concentrating in the 10-15 foot range off of shore lately. The water is pretty dirty, my question is, when using a glider like a hellhound, should I cast it and let it sink before I start walking it back? I've always used them pretty much just under the surface. I've also been throwing a regular dawg and bouncing it off rock piles (the hooks on them straighten pretty easily). Any advice here is appreciated.

Location: Eau Claire,WI | Try the glider both ways. In deeper water I do count em down, easier to repeat if you get action. As far as the Dawgs,go faster, simple as that.Don't let the lures sink deep before you start the retrieve. You could always put stronger hooks on too or go to a lighter version. |

| I get using the dawg faster, I just like to feel around sometimes. |
