What do you think the best rod length is to cast mag dawgs to 2lbers?

I have a custom rod that is 10'3" long and this thing can really toss those heavy rubber baits. Though, any longer of rod and I think it would be a little cumbersome to use.

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion		9.6" XH Predator from Throne Bros is the best rod that I have used,.. Light weight and expensive,..... But well worth it.

Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI		I went to 9'6", and it was too long for me. Big dawg extended to 8'10" seems perfect for me. I will never throw a 2lber.

Location: Des Moines IA		My plan is to have a 9 ft Calstar custom built for pounders this winter. Using a 9'3 Okuma XH right now and really like it except for the fact it is kind of heavy.

Location: Minnesota		i had thorne bros build me a 9'8" predator love it for the pounders. light rod have a tranx high speed great combo but not cheap.

I don't think that calstar is going to be any lighter, probably heavier.

I like to use a rod just heavy enough for the Baits, so the same rod for two pounders and mag dawgs is not something I do. Not that a heavy rod wouldn't throw the mags I just like the feel of a lighter rod with the smaller Baits.
