The FRV Challunge on the Chain is being held Saturday Oct 27 at Famous Freddies on Pistakee lake. This is a great cash tournament and monies go to our youth and fisheries programs. There are still plenty of spots left! The awards ceremony is great with a huge raffle, gorgeous bartenders and AM1000's Chauncy Nizol as our MC! Don't miss this great event. For more info, click on the banners in this page!

Does anyone need a partner? I have a boat (17 ft Tracker w/115 Opti) just no partner as most of the guys I usually fish with are out of town that weekend. Let me know if you are interested.

The guys and gals of the Fox River Valley Chapter of Muskies Inc. put a lot of work into their tourneys, Spring and Fall. Having fished them a handful of times, I can say that it really shows. Extremely well organized, GREAT raffle prizes, and kick butt food. They really pull out all the stops. The camaraderie and playful ribbing afterwards makes it fun for everyone, regardless of performance. Definitely a good tourney to join whether you're an old pro, first timer, or anywhere in between!
Any registered Illinois Muske Tournament Trail Member who catches (and releases) a muskie 50" or greater during the tournament wins a $10,000 prize. Good luck to everyone! If you see me there say what's up- and maybe I'll tell you how I won!

I have not fished the Chain this year. I have heard the water level was (is?) way down? Is this still the case?

Congrats to father-son combo of Russ and Chris Schaller on winning the 2012 Fall Challunge on the Chain, and to runner up Dave Hebeda!
