The first 15 teams to sign up and pay will have a chance to win a Tica/Okuma rod and reel combo. Retail value is over $200.

Also, ease out order will be based on order of registration, so the sooner you sign up the better.

Should be fun, not high stakes fishing.  I believe that the quick strike rig has to be of Leaders and Lures manufacture.

Should be a good day. Forecast for Saturday is high of 55, no rain and winds around 10mph. Even if you can't fish, come out for a beer and brat. If you'd like to sign up, call the shop at 262-691-9659.

I think the people who don't fish should only get brats that are left over, like the next morning or so....just saying!

Well, I just talked to John and I've got some good news and bad news....

The bad news is the insurance company that is backing the $10,000 50" fish contest contacted John TODAY and said that teams could only use two rods per team.

The good news is that with a little convincing they changed the policy. Teams can only use one rod per angler, but both can be livebait or any lure brand or model for that matter. It is now opened up to the first 50" fish caught on any lure or a quickstrike rig. It's not just limited to Leaders & Lures products.

If people don't want to fish, they can have a refund. But I think the chances of someone claiming the $10,000 prize just got a whole lot better!

Not a lot of fish caught (including none by us) on a day I predicted would be a great bite, but I ate 3 brats, two plates of beans and sourkraut, chips, and am pretty sure I got my entry fee back in some really, really good eats. As usual, this was a totally nice time more of you should try next year. And, my partner won the rod and reel raffle.

I think that there were 24-26 boats in the tournament, so it doubled the Ironman turn out. Weather could have had something to do with that.

I was out with a friend and guide Mike Koepp, we did not enter the tournament. We saw a 41 and 37 get caught right behind us. We missed an upper 40's right at the boat when it spit a sucker. Missed another one on the hookset (sucker). Had six follows, all at different depths and spots on the lake.

Frustrating day out there. It should have been better than what it was. We did hear of another two fish that were caught, but we don't know if those guys were in the tournament or not.
