I was wondering how the St. Croix Slingblade is for throwing regular sized Bulldogs?

I have thrown regular dogs on mine for some time now with no problems at all. I even lob a few Mag Dogs with that rod on occasion, If that's the heaviest you throw, go with it.....

Yeah I have the Slingblade too and throw reg bulldogs. It's the perfect rod for those.

I haven't done Pounders with my Sling Blade, but it throws all smaller sized Dawgs with ease. Regular Dawgs, no problem. Go for it!

Location: Ludington, MI | I've thrown the 12-ounce thunderbeast and Curly Sues with it. If I was going to take an all-day trip throwing nothing but heavy rubber, I'd go Big Nasty or Big Rubber. |

Thanks. Probably won't be throwing anything bigger than the regulars.

You even can cast them with the long ranger, if the regular is the biggest you fish thats probably a nice tool too.
