Any tips on priming plastic lures. Im painting a couple tackle industries mag shads.

I just use what House of Kolor call their White Basecoat. I'd say just use white, pearl, silver or something darker than that depending on the pattern. White or Silver usually.

Location: Okoboji		not the valspar primer,,,,that stuff is trash it stays tacky for some reason......wasnt cheap either.

The standard Createx “base coat sealer” should bond good to those lures. 

Those lures are molded from ABS and paint bonds quite well to it.

thanks guys painted it yesterday when with the regular primer i usually use on my wood baits i think it turned out good. Ill be taking it to st. clair in a week or so to try it out

HOK is all lacquer based paints.
They're mainly an automotive paint supplier, but I don't have the patience to wait for water-based paints to dry, when I can spray wet on wet if I want, but I'm not that fast. It normally dries before I can change colors.

Location: Land of the Musky		That has to be one of the best Mag Shad paint jobs I have ever seen! Want to paint me up about 20 of those for show season Impressive!

Just let me know when you need more blanks. I pulled them off of my website but still have about 50-400 of each of my hard bodies lures left in my inventory for winter projects. Mag Shads, Nokkens, Sea Cal/Cow, Super Ciscos, etc...
