Any reports on Cave Run in Kentucky, thinking of going there in a week or so.
Water temp? Guide.

Thanks

No one has been posting huge numbers lately but there have been some
big fish caught in the last few days. Justin Mullins caught a 52.75 incher yesterday.
The photo is on the Crash's Landing web site.

The Cave is a weed bed jungle and that is where you will find fish this time
of year. You don't really need a guide to find weeds. Put your boat in at the
Alfrey boat ramp and go straight accross the lake to the flats. This is about
35 acres of shallow water and it is covered in weeds. Big rubber baits and Cowgirls will do the trick. If you can get some cloud cover or light rain it can be fantastic.

Water is around 67. Three foot above winter pool and steady. Air Temp back to 80 this Saturday, so might push surface temp up a little. Can't go wrong with Tony Grant at Musky Mountain Lodge and his staff. Or Justin Mullins and his staff. They know the "windows" of opportunity on the lake, just be prepared for sunup to sundown with a lot of down time in between.
