Update....

Only a couple weeks away. Some spots still available. Leech is still putting out some great fish. Quite a few muskies over 50" boated the past couple weeks!

Leech Lake legend Al Maas is the guest speaker Friday night to share some info on how to attack Leech for some fall bruisers.

A ton of prizes have been added to the list including a week stay at Horseshoe Bay Lodge. Two entries to the 2013 Shootout will also be given away.

It's going to be a great tournament!

The last time I talked to Brett he said it was almost half full. That was a few days ago. But I know he's been getting calls almost daily with interest on signing up. He will be taking sign ups up to Thursday the 11th.

The muskie fishing is still going strong on Leech so we're expecting some very nice muskies being caught. I'm looking forward to it.

Jeff

The Shootout is a wrap! Leech proved to be a bit tough but still a few nice fish were registered. Dan Burrow of Team 1 turned in a healthy 50.75" to take big fish honors which topped Colby Gallagher's 49.5" and Jody Young's 47.25"er. Team 1 doubled on Day 2 to take the Shootout Championship. Congrats to Dan Burrow and Jim Kath on a great win.

For more info and pics visit www.muskieshootout.com. A picture slideshow will be up within a day or two.

Stay tuned to the site for info and dates on the 2013 Muskie Shootout as it will feature more prizes and higher cash payout!

Congrats to all the prize and cash winners and a special Thanks to our great sponsors!

This was a well run tournament and very organized. A varification system of a picture on a tournament issued bump board with anglers wearing identification tags on lanyards was used.
An excellent system leaving no question of accuracy and a quick release of the fish.
This is a great tournamnent lots of fun and great prizes, looking forward to next year.
