Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | It was brutally nice out. All we had the whole day was a couple of pike that came on Suicks and two lazy follows in the early morning. It was a pretty slow day. but to see that only a few people caught fish makes me feel a little better about how slow it was.

Posts: 406 Location: Stones throw away...finally!! | Tonka was Labor Day crazy with traffic. Ended up putting 2 34" in the bag late morning, 50 yds apart. Saw several others over the day including 3 upper 40" fish. Certainly had the potential to be a really good day. Happy that we had the luck we did after hearing the results.

| We found the fish on the deep edges of Tonka only on the East end and only on gold blades.. we didn't figure that out until the last 2 hours and had about 15 follows and my buddy got a 40 on the 8 and won junior. Fun day | |||

Fun day -- This is the fourth different pattern I have heard of for Tonka of people seeing/doing/using ect. ours was completely opposite from that, shallow in the cabbage on jerk baits. I also heard two other completely different patterns that fish (in Tonka) were on that day. Strange day on the water. I do know that the only Tonka fish boated were all called in withing 4 minutes of each other after the first major ended. Edited by FAT-SKI 10/1/2012 3:10 PM

Posts: 3158 | 160 people fished the tourney 9 people caught 10 fish two of which were 50 or bigger couldnt even give out 10th place 1 Junior caught a 40 to win division didnt give out the mary Villnow award-no women caught fish fat ski is right the 3 tonka fish were called in within a 4 minute window so it pays yto watch those majors!!! the good news,,for those who showed up at the ceremony there were plenty of pork chops to eat and take home hot lake-none I guess it was the hot weather stalled water temps that killed the bite but more muskies can be bought and stocked with all the proceeds so were all winners Edited by happy hooker 10/1/2012 5:05 PM
