Location: Wakefield, MI | I've been fishing a local lake with my dad for about 17 years, go there every couple of weeks, caught my first fish ever there today! I've had some nice hits, my dad has caught a couple and seen a few HUGE ones, but I've never been able to hook up. It was about 40* and raining, I hooked up on one with a Suick, mid 40's but lost it (would have been a personal best), a few minutes later I landed one about 27 or 28".
It's taken long enough
Also caught one in the low 30's yesterday when the weather was way better. |

Location: Wakefield, MI | Went back to the same lake yesterday and today, yesterday my dad caught a small one (about 25") on the first cast and I caught a 37" both on 9" black weighted suicks. Today my dad caught a 44 1/2" trolling a perch depth raider and I caught a 38" on a black perch 9" shallow raider.

| 17 fishless years, and then you caught four in a few-day span. That's cool. |

Yeah, it's been really weird. I usually do pretty good at a lake a few miles down the road, caught 2 there this year on my first trip out and a few more on other trips, but now it's slowed down. The pressure on that lake has been heavy though, while the lake I was on this weekend has hardly seen a boat this year. Not sure if the light pressure has been helping or what. |
