| Has anyone had any experience with a Okuma Isis 400LX Reel? Looks like a nice priced reel with the exact Gear Ratio (5.1/1 ) I was looking for. It also has a Large spool, and a loud line out alarm, and a decent drag system...... looks like a nice reel for the price...Thanks Mike |

Location: Madtown, WI | I got a used "new" 400 off the buy/sell/trade forum this year and had couple issues, it developed an odd ticking noise and it would take nearly a full revolution of the handle to engage the reel. I thought I was in trouble since I bought it "used" but Okuma fixed it for just return shipping costs. Same goes for a 3 year old EVX rod that snapped out of nowhere, they replaced it as well. So great customer service and a ultra smooth reel, you can't go wrong. |

Location: Racine, Wi | I've got 4 of them that are finishing up their second season, and no issues at all. Pounded all of them really good from trolling to ripping big baits (10" tripple Ds, Pounders, 10" jakes, etc). They've held up very well for me. Would definitely recommend them. |

| Bought a Isis and tried it out this afternoon for the first time, all was great for a few hours, But now the reel seems to be making a load whistling noise on every long cast. Strange ? never heard of anything like this. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I'm about to wrap up my 2nd season (bowhunting now) on an Isis. I put it on a rod I like a lot and use 85% of the time so its had a lot of use. The reel is still going strong and has not given me any trouble. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
In the past, Okuma has given me great service as well. I haven't needed any with this reel but if you need anything they will take care of you.
