Ok, you just got a lazy follow or an aggressive follow. Sure, you throw one or two back at it. Do you turn the boat around or continue down the shore and come back in 10-20 minutes?

Either way I will come back on it depending on the size of the fish and how hot the follow was I seem to find myself asking the same question how long before I move back on the fish

ok, that was too tough.
You get a follow, do you quickly grab the top raider, creeper, or what is your choice?

Coming back in twenty minutes is a great idea..unless you are in a spot where six other boats will have gone through-- think metro area! In that case, you have to dig in, block the other traffic aggressively (look a bit like a turd) and then exhaust your opportunity with every bait you own! Then, when you simply must give up, stick around for ten minutes and watch somebody catch your fish! Feels just like when a girl goes home with the next guy after explaining for an hour that she doesn't go home with guys!

I always gun it away from a spot after working a fish, when I know someone will be on it as soon as start the motor. I try not to look back in fear of someone nailing the fish on the first few casts, but I always do. Hasn't happened yet, but its coming.

I hardly ever get follows, but if i do i will only go back if its a real big fish ... maybe had 3 follows in the last 2 yrs that were actually big enough to want to even go back on... i usually go back pending how hot the follow was, if it was right on it i will stick around and come back real soon... if it was lazy maybe come back just before dark or another day... funny thing is i usually never see em again ... maybe the big ones really roam around and dont stay put for long.. or swallowed a cowbell and dont exist

for me it really depends on 1) the behavior of the fish 2) on where it went after the the follow ...and then 3) the type of structure

If a fish came in hot and did not commit, and went back to a specific piece of structure ( rock, reef, small weed patch, logs, etc..) then I will camp on the spot with various lures for awhile if the fish is big enough

If the fish came in lazy but still turned around and went back to where it came from I will still give her hell but for not as long...

If I pull a fish off structure and it seemingly "keeps going" out towards no mans land I will give it a few casts then say forget it....
