I have about 20 trips next year and three weeks of vacation and 6 personal days....any ideas?[]

There should be a special Federal tax break that gives employers more money back if they hire muskie anglers and give them time off to go fishing.

Hey Bush....forget the homestead act......go for the ANGLER ACT.

Jason,

Sell more stuff....LOL. I take mine without pay, so I just work a little harder to make hay while the sun shines.

Jason,

My company gives you the option of buying vacation if you need more. Otherwise, how's your short-term disability coverage? I am sure Doc, or MuskieMedic could write you a note[;)] .

STRESS DAYS...approach your job in such a manner that they upper crust will thank you for taking "extra" time off. Works for me! I got 300 odd hrs. of annual leave left w/ more to come at the first of the year, but the other maintenance dude is going to the VA for a leg op. in January + I won't be able to take off 'til mid Feb. or March. Good luck......

Jason work harder during the off season, you see 6 weeks of working 12 hour days will get you an extra 3 weeks off. [:sun:]

That or start working for yourself and work around your fishing trips. Then again I remember working 70 hours a week for the first 5 years before I could play nookie and go fishing 2 weeks a year. Lmao But now after almost 10 years I am barely there and let my workers do all the work while I guide all the time. [:p]

Do it right like I did, become a teacher.

I get 3 months off for the summer, 2 weeks during christmas, 1 week for spring break, 1 week for Thanksgiving, and a bunch of other dumb a$$ holidays.

Plus no weekends.

Sorry I can't do the work excuse guys that make 10 times more than me do that. You can however, come work with me, 7 on 7 off, I only work half a year, tough to beat that schedule.

I have 4 weeks and five floating holidays. I am still two weeks short of what I need. We get a half day when our company makes it's goals, which it has every quarter this year. Problem is, I work with some bozo's and have a southside BDP for a boss and I have all 4 still and my BDP boss can't find me any friday's to take them.
