Stand by for up to the minute reports from the water on Pelican Lake as the Kevin Worrall Memorial gets underway at 7 AM. Thanks to Gary and his better half for running a tight ship, all the anglers who will see to it another nice donation goes the Ronald McDonald House, and Norm for working the bar with his better half tonight. No Boat Norm, we all will call him...

Looks like 110 boats will hit the water.

Hi Steve,
Just wondering if you could give us some backround regarding this Tournament...and why it is a Memorial Tourney?
I am relatively new to this Board, and I don't know the story. But it seems like a nice Tournament, and a very good cause. Wish I was up there today.

Editor's note:

Mark, the event is actually 29 years running this year. 21 years ago, the Lakeview Inn tournament was renamed the Kevin Worrall Memorial after my son, Kevin. Kevin was Keith's twin, and loved to fish. We lost him in a gun accident, and Barry Thiel renamed the event as a fund raiser for the Ronald McDonald house in Marshfield.

I'm proud to be involved and thankful for Gerrits hard work making sure the tournament is a success, and I guarantee Kevin is proud to have a fishing event in memory of his love of Muskie fishing.

Live From my boat on Pelican Lake..

Two m ore fish caught, both 35.75, by Schuelke and by Homfeldt. I was registering the first CPR 35.75 when the second was caught a few yards away. Pretty cool...

Windy out here...

Most of the fish seemed to come for shallower waters, I'd say it was an even split between weeds and rocks and baits varied almost as much. Pelican is green right now, and cooling very fast; it will change every day now until she turns over all the way.
