Posts: 619 | If you can drive a bit.. i would just walk out to about 3 feet of water on the north end of mille lacs and wade up and down the north side... easy to walk out as it is all sand

Posts: 716 | One thing to keep in mind is the fragile nature of the population in metro lakes and be prepared with the right tools to successfully handle and release your catch especially if it is your first encounter with muskies.

Posts: 61 Location: Anoka | I would recomend Bob Turgeon I havent been lucky enough to fish with him but people I have talked to that have say they learned more than you could learn in a lifetime plus he puts alot of fish in the bag and he knows tonka as well as any guide on the lake I know if I was hiring a guide to catch muskie it would be him. Fishwithbob.com is his site good luck !

Posts: 2 | Thanks Guys, Fished Harriet and Calhoun . spent a lot of time "shooting the breeze" . Met some nice folks and heard some great musky stories. saw a pike about 30". the story behind it is interesting. Guy had his four year old granddaughter at the pier on Calhoun. She dropped a reel into the water. He was jigging a Dardevle trying to snag it when the pike hit. Nice fish on six pound test! Are there any guides who fish Calhoun? It sure looks underfished with a lot of potential. Thanks again, Tom
