We went out yesterday on Bald Eagle. Temps were 58 and the water was insanely dirty... maybe 6" visibility. IMO, turnover is in full swing.

bald eagle has been insanely dirty for awhile, nothing is turning yet. still a little warm. probably will be a non-event this year like it is most years. some lakes are being affected by algee blooms though.

The lakes should be in early stage of turnover if it is occurring. If lake is in turnover go real shallow with big glide baits and slower tap tap retrieve has brought me success when water temps hit 53-58 range. Lakes seem to finish turnover right around the lower 50s if it takes place on the lake. Lakes like forest and bald eagle are not as deep as lakes like Harriet, Calhoun, and tonka that reach depths of 80 feet so turnover may not occur on shallower lakes.

I say no,at least not fully I had 56-57 most of the day on Minnetonka both Saturday and Sunday and found the water clarity crystal clear on the east end and about normal west even with a strong sustained west wind yesterday. Any day now IMO.

WBL was 49-50 today and still pretty murky from the bloom but not turned yet...

Got a 41 and a 44 on Sat - both fish were in the weeds in 5'-8' and both crunched a Phantom worked very agressively over the tops - the 44 went airborn! very agressive ! - no follows only two crunches.

w/ the bluebird skies today I only saw one early in the AM in about 3'

Really??? cause we were out all day Sunday and had temps between 49 and 52 anywhere on the lake. East, west didn't matter. East is pretty clear now and the weeds are starting to die pretty rapidly. Went to one of my favorite milfoil spots later in the day, and barley any milfoil to be found

So are you guys saying it's turned? I'd say not but haven't been out in over a week. Going to drag some meat around Saturday morning. Can't wait!

Has Tonka or WBL turned yet? Found 54 in some spots on tonka last tuesday and the main body had a green film across the surface of the water.

I was on wb today and it seemed clear (10ft visibility). and I saw temps from 50-53 all over the lake. The only way to truly tell is drop a depth therm or camera that has temp on it down and check.. I would guess it has.
