We have a full camp, and the hospitality is stellar, as usual. A massive cold front slid through the area and was reinforced Saturday by another, which shut even the bass down; water temps dropped into the upper 60's. Everyone is moving fish, but slow and low on the follows. Warmer weather and some clouds and rain are forecast for the rest of the week, so the action should pick up.

Steve and Joe fed everyone well at the Saturday mapping party, and everyone won a lure or other prize at the first dockside this morning. I'm bass fishing to shoot video and stills to promote the world class largemouth and smallmouth fishing out of Spring Bay, and muskie fishing the last hour or so of light. Should be a great week!

A 47 was caught this evening, and most of the guys are still out, hope to have images tomorrow. The Bass project is going well, too, even though the bite was soft today. Beautiful day on Vermilion!

Steve, the bass regs on vermillion is 6 bass total both species included no size limit. We caught about 25 bass and most of them were 10" smallmouth. They were on every structure vermillion has. We only caught 4 nice bass.

We've busted some really good SMB and LMB here, and are getting several a day during the high skies. Got some nice pannies today too. Fish fry will be stellar.

We typically catch alot of nice bass. The lm bass whe. We get them are always big but the east side does not have alot of them. We have always caught alot of nice sm bass and we caught a few. I am hoping that those 10"ers were just a big year class, they were healthy looking but they were everywhere even open water. Maybe they will knock a dent in the crayfish population and get some cabbage back.

Couple More, everyone is having a great time! The weather has been sunny, not a cloud in the sky, then sunny with not a cloud in the sky.

We moved a tanker and a nice fish today on #10 spinnerbaits and caught some Pike.

There were a couple more muskies caught yesterday and last night, I am at the PMTT now and will try to get them from each anger this week. As usual, Spring Bay's hospitality was stellar, lodging was flawless, and food was excellent. Thanks to Suick Lures, nearly everyone went home with at least two baits, THANKS Steve and Mike! Tackle Industries donated a 9' one piece for a prize last night.

We will wrap this up tomorrow.

Steve tells me the Fall outing is looking very good for attendance. Join us for some fall trophy fishing!

It was another great time spent at Spring Bay Resort. Joe and Steve go out of their way to make sure you have anything you could want, can't say enough about the hospitality at the resort. It was a tough week of fishing , but it was worth chasing the giants of Vermilion. Food was great, got to see some friends and drink some beer. Thanks to Spring Bay for the free trip, this year and next. Definitely consider this trip if you haven't already. See ya next year!
