I was up there Tuesday evening from about 5 til 9. There was a guy blaring his radio listening to the cubbies. The only hit I got was in the second as Sosa was rounding the bases after his HR. I'm pretty sure the fish just hit out of excitement of the game. The water temps were 76 degrees which was 4 degrees warmer than a week ago. Most of the baitfish and skis that I marked were deeper, but there was some activity at about 14 feet. Probably not much help here, but good luck.

I've recently moved from Silver Lake. Lived in the Village for the past 4 years, and fished the lake quite frequently. I spoke with a village police officer before my move and he told me the DNR has put the ramp repairs on hold until next season. They told him the funds needed to be used elsewhere, but they would pickup where they left off.
I've used the ramp early in the season, and you're absolutely right. If there is a nice wind your boat is on the rocks. Real nice - eh?

I did move some nice-sized fish earlier in the season. Try the deep weed edges on the North-end of the lake straight out from the launch. I boated a couple of 30" ski's, and had one up that was 46"-48". Real nice fish.

Good luck
