I went fishing with Jenkins on Sunday. I lost a 42" at the net and that was that. We also listened to the Packers continue the 2-9 streak for Brett Farve in the metro dome......The funny thing is....the last time the Packers won the Super bowl they got beat in the dome.

caught three pike on Sunday on trolled deadbaits (rowtrolling with baits under a float), lost three other pike on deadbaits. Also had three really hard strikes on a swim whizz, a selfmade bucktailspinnerbait and a bagley monster shad (mike, it was the one you sent me but about 1/3 of the paint is gone. A large chunk jumped off when that pike struck it. Strange)

Greg M. Mark H. and myself broke ice and got out on Deer Lake Saturday. Saw 5 and got a 38". My season is over I fear due to ice up. I think that the boat will be winterized this week.

Muskie fishing is not a matter of life and death...It''''s much more important than that!!!!!

After watching the Pete M/ Gillespie show on Friday I decided to troll Channel and Marie deep on Sunday. My son and I trolled around for a few hours with no luck. Water temp was 43. I chatted with one nice fella at the ramp who got a 37” on a sucker.

| Watched the ice form on the lakes and worked Saturday morning, hunted Saturday evening. Sunday went to the range and shot Sue's .243, she did well. Sunday evening tried to recover from sighting in my 7MM Mag. Brandy and Coke did the job, only needed one.[]
Me thinks barring a MAJOR warmup, fishing on soft water is finished here.[:blackeye:] |

| We caught two and lost two, two rips and a big follow. I lost the two, i sure wish my dad would get some fire in his a$$ when I hook a fish.[:(] Lost one when I took off my own planer board and the other when he was still casting and my fish was at the boat.[:knockout:] |

| I managed to catch one Saturday. It took off with a sucker and I missed it, attached another sucker and it swam around it 2 times and as I lifted up I saw her grab the sucker and turn. What a sight[] . |
