i have 2 trolling motors (1-cable, 1-auto) that i want to use interchangeably on my boat (with their own mounted transducers). problem is that the current one has a transducer plug that is coupled with the ethernet plug, so if i take it off and unplug the transducer, i can't just put the other one on and plug the transducer in.

sorry, but who was the moron who designed this feature?? yah, i'll save bucks for being forced to use the same transducer, but i was going for the ez-button of being able to just quick disconnect one motor for the other depending on how i wanted to fish that particular day.

anyone facing or understanding of my situation care to give me some sound advice?
