They're a great reel once you remove the anti-backlash feature. Using the AB feature your casts are 50% shorter and it doesn't work right with heavier lines or superbraids.

I bought one when they had a coupon for a second one free ( it was on their website). It's a decent reel but they only recommend using 14-17lb. mono. I've been using 50lb Tuff line and they work fine, if the line is stiff it won't work right. Handy for cold weather (no thumbing needed) but you can't cast as far with the line through the A-B unit. It can be switched off if you want, but still limits casting distance. If you don't run the line through the A-B they cast fine.
