Location: Ohio | I have a neo iwata airbrush. Having problems with it clogging a lot. I can shoot with a ton of pressure when it clogs, but hard to do the fine detail low pressure stuff. What do you guys use to clean you airbrush and how? Thanks! |

Location: Freedom, WI | You are more than likely getting tip dry, the weather has an effect on it. There is an additive to prevent that but slows down drying time. |

Location: Waunakee, WI. | Keep the tip of your needle wet with whatever kind of thinner your paint calls for whenever you set your airbrush down for a minute or two. This alone cuts down on a lot of clogging. |

Location: Money, PA | Simple solution of alcohol and water is all you need. I run clean water through the nozzle after each color change and I thoroughly take apart and clean the brush every other time I finish airbrushing. Various colors also have various effects...quickest tip drying colors I found are red, white and black. Get yourself a good airbrush cleaning kit...They contain brushes which fit into small crevises and small metal pins of various sizes which help scrpae out dried paint from your nozzle (the most important component to keep clean). Had mine for nearly 1 1/2 years and sprayed alot of paint through it with no issues. Good Luck |

Location: Ohio | So I got the airbrush to work good for a few rounds of baits. Thinned some paint used panty hose to filter it through and have been completley taking it apart and cleaning it after each use. Now no paint even squirst out, it all just bubbles. This is frustrating. I've cleaned it multiple times today with no luck. |

Location: Money, PA | Wow! This is odd...Your nozzle may be damaged or something. Check everything including your needle to be sure its not bent or the nozzle has any chips or cracks in it. It shouldn't be bubbling like that.
Quick Q...I'm assuming your brush is a dual action....what happens when you just press the button down without feeding any paint? Is it seeping or bubbling then?

Location: Oregon | If its bubbling it's one of two things, either the two pieces in front of the nose cone aren't tight enough or the cone is clogged. |

| Yup, bubbling means that the air isn't going where it's supposed to. Take it apart and clean it and soak it to loosen everything up. Good luck.

| i have the same brush and it got to have some dried paint in the tiny tippy tip the rush can be clean as a whistle but the cleaning solution cant get to it in that small space . look at it close when you insert the needle with the tip unscrewed . make sure your needle is coming out off the little hole . if it isnt this is your problem . it is hard to clean this small tip out and i keep extra for this occasion . i did figure a good way to get them clean how ever . i fill a diabetic insulin needle wit acetone and insert the fine needle into the tip and squeeze the acetone in until its clean . it might take a few needles full before you see results . it helps to soak the tiny tip nozzle in acetone for a few minutes before you start . its a pain in the butt when this happens and it makes you think your going crazy . the needle must be the smallest available or it wont fit in the whole . good luck |
