| Just came accross this oldy in a yardsale on Sunday, fellow called me up and dropped the price considerably....Boat looked real clean and had a 40 Tiller Mariner on it (Yamaha made).. 16' Walleye Rampage series.....looks like a nice little boat to make into a Musky Boat. The Price is right for me to grab it,but I Always kept tin boats, this is Fiberglass.
Anyone familar with this older Tuffy ? please let me know? Thanks Mike Sr |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It should be a 15 foot boat if it's a Walleye Rampage, 16 foot if it's a 160 model and is a great boat either way. That old, make sure the transom is sound and the side tanks and floors are in good shape. |

| I had a '90 Walleye Rampage. Not quite 16' long. That was a great boat. Mine had a 25 Merc on it, but was rated for 40HP. It'd go 27 with just me. With Brian Major, I had to sit way up front to get it to plane! I'd take that think out on Bago when guys in 18 footers wouldn't go. Loved the boat.
I had to repair the bottom gelcoat once along the strakes. Cracked on some rocks, and leaked into the wood along the bottom. Make sure that the wood is still good down there, and the transom, too. If you see cracks along the bottom, invesitgate fully and make sure the wood is solid.
What color is it? Blue on top, and gray sides and bottom?

Location: Plymouth IA | I was a tin tiller boat guy for years then got a great deal on a 1985 16' Tuffy Muskie Rampage 90 hp side console. I just cannot believe how great a boat it is. You can see the spot on the front bottom where hit a rock and had to do a fiberglass patch. the boat is tough hit hard and did not ever go all the way through. The old SSV would have had a hole i think.
