| Going to St Clair for skies for the first time. Do i have to buy both candian and michigan licenses? I,m probably staying at a campround called ST Clair campground on candian side by a few miles. Anybody been their and any tips would be appreciated. I hear find the cabbage is the way to go.Thanks all.  |

Location: So. Illinois | If you Fish the Canadian side, you need an Onterio fishing license. If you fish the US side, you need a Michigan license. Both can be obtained on line. |

Location: Detroit River | Since you are staying on the Canadian side I would just stick to Ontario waters since the fishing has been the best on that side of the lake.

| If you have a "sportsmans card" from Canada an 8 day licence is only $26.00 (for conservation only). I would get both and I would buy the Michigan one online. Most of the trolling takes place in the big, southern section of the lake and a majority of that is canadian. If/when you get up you can get a canadian license at Joe's bait and tackle in New Baltimore. The big section of the lake is trolling heaven and the northern section that contains the channels is more of a casting section. I have fished that lake a number of times and you cant go wrong either way. Good luck |
