Can anyone recommend places to stay on St Clair?
Nothing too fancy, just a safe clean place for the guys.

If you have a group of guys then Angler's Point will fit the bill. They rent a nice loft above their store & it's on the water.

Most of the bass guys that come into town stay at the Red Roof Inn in Roseville.

There are a few places on the Queensland side of LSC.

Belle River, ONT
- Le Petit Dragon Motel (a place to sleep, nothing fancy)

East of Windsor
- couple hotel chains there of the x-way. 30 minutes to water by car.

Thames River (Tilbury, ONT)
- is/was a B&B near Lighthouse Cover

Wallaceburg, ONT
- Oaks Inn (pretty nice place) - 15 minutes from Mitchells Bay

Mitchells Bay, ONT
- there are cabin rentals there. Don't recall name..try Google.

Where to start for a rookie on St Clair? Mitchell's Bay, the south shore,or Anchor Bay? I prefer casting.

For casting rookie - I highly recommend starting in Anchor Bay. Plenty of nice (and safe) places on that end of the lake to stay. Also more boat ramps to pick from. Can also go play in the North Channel/St Clair River if the wind gets bad.

Angler's Point, Colony Motel, Selfridge Motel (a place to sleep), 3-4 chain hotels near M59/I94 exchange.

when i was out there went to the michigan musky shop dont remember who i was talking to but what i was told find weeds find muskies went out that night cought 3. its a shallow lake when i was running from place to place alot of the lake was only 8 to 10 feet deep im use to 20 to 30 feet so that was new for me some people say stay away to much pressure.i was there on july 4th the most i seen musky fishing was 4 boats me and 3 others. this was on a weed spot must have been 1/2 mile long so if this is what they call pressure come to minnesota i can show you pressure.

The place in Mitchell's Bay is or was called Waterway Camp. I fished a few bass tournaments there in the early 80's. It sure wasn't anything special back then.
