| Any reports out there??? I am heading out November 9-11 and plan to do some trolling and may cast some of the inland areas.

| I pretty much fish Georgian Bay exclusively because I live so close and the fishing has been decent, I heard of a few mid to high 40lbs were caught in October. Are you going to be fishing out of Midland? Have you ever fished Honey Harbour? |

| Have heard about Honey Harbour, but have not made it there yet. This is my first trip up there, I usually fish muskie in the Kawartha and Moira systems, but have always wanted to try "The Bay" at this time of year. I am planning to try Honey Harbour next summer/early fall to check it out before I go out in the late cold fall.[:p] [:)]
Sorry, forgot to answer your question - yes I will be launching out of Midland at the town dock by Backwater Tackle. |

| I fish the Moira system sometimes, however i prefer the Bay, better chance at bigger fish...Where do you fish in the Moira system? How has your luck been? I know there are some huge fish swimming in Honey Harbour, but watch for rocks...Midland should provide you with good opportunities to get a giant. Unfortunately I just found out that Moon River Basin is beginning to freeze up and its only the beginning of November...Not too happy about that.. |

| I recently fished Moira Lake and beat the water into a froth and did not even see a fish!! I think the lake had recently turned over and the fish needed some time to adjust. I have also found a great tackle shop in Corbyville, Ont. (just 15 minutes away from Moira Lake and steps to the Moira River) and the owner, Stacey Ash, has put me on these waters, although I have yet to try Stoco Lake. At his tackle shop you can get Amma Bamma's, Mantas, Ukko's, Reef Hawg's, Lakewoods Boxes, etc., and pay in Canadian Dollars, apparently he does not even charge for shipping. | I hope to make it back to Moira to convince myself there are fish there. Stacey has got me convinced there are BIG fish there and the other day I was having a visit at the place where I bought my boat and one of the salesman heard me mention Moira and he took me to his office where he has a couple of photos of a couple of large muskies he caught there during a day where he said he caught 9 muskies. He is not an avid fisherman, but a good occasional fisherman and he said he was out in the middle of the lake using wire line and it was mid-July. Anyway, it is good to hear you are a friend of Stacey's, he seems like a good guy and runs a fantastic shop. It is a small world when you fish muskie!![:bigsmile:] If I can make it back to Moira before the ice is in I will, it is only an hour and a half from home (Oshawa).

| There are some giants in that system, and Ive got pictures to prove it as wel..[:)] Me and my fishing partner have got some nice fish outta there....Yeah Stacy is a real good guy...Next time you roll that way lemme know...Maybe Ill head that way and we could meet up.. |

| just got back from Midland. Fished Saturday the 10th (had business to tend to on the Friday and Sunday). Got one muskie and nothing else (no pike, no follows), but she was a beauty , 52" x 23", weighed on a digital scale, while in a cradle, at 46 pounds. Was a good healthy release after a few photos. I may go back before the season closes at the end of this month. If you are heading up there, launch out of Midland, at the town docks by the marina and Backwaters Tackle. Brian and his wife Debbie at Backwaters are very nice and very helpful. If I do head up to Moira I will let you know.[:bigsmile:] [:bigsmile:] |
