| When the temps have gotten back down to safety in early fall, how do you guys target your fish? I've heard that bucktails and topwater are good but have had no verification. Thanks |

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | personally I don't treat it all that much different then any other time of the year. Feel out your conditions and make the best choice on spot and lure selection, then start casting. That being said the only two main things that I change to adapt to fall fishing is larger lures and slower speeds. More rubber, larger blades, slow rolling. I like fall, it doesn't hurt as much. |

Location: Contrarian Island | everything works in early fall that works in summer/spring/late fall...I would not suggest slowing down just based on water temps...muskies can and do eat burned bucktails (or other fast moving baits) just as well certain times in the fall as they do in summer... love weedlines and shallow weeds..don't forget sand...topwaters as the water cools can be a great tactic...don't forget suckers on a quickstrike... good luck.

| my favorite time of year. i start seeing more fish shallow once water temps hit 70 on the way down and can usually count a few weeks of good topwater action |

| Just ask any of the guides that never quit fishing regardless of water temps. They'll know exactly how to get on the fish.... |
