| I recently got back from LOTW. On our last day we had follows from 10 fish, 3 in the upper 40's. The fish would follow through the 8's, some for a long time, but we only got one to strike. The action was during a bright sunny day and on a relatively small rock structure. All the follows were on small jointed crankbaits. We left the area and returned as the moon and sun were setting and threw bucktails. I caught one right away but then we didn't see another fish, and didn't see the big ones. As I think back I'm wondering if the fish would have gone if I was throwing the crankbaits, but catching the one on the bucktail right away, I stuck with it. We only had about a 40 minute window to fish. Just wondering what lures other people would have thrown in the situation?? |

| I have had good luck going back on fish or getting the fish that follow and disappear to come back and crush 8" Big Game twitch baits since June. I originally dug out a crane bait from a buddy's boat and moved a fish on that before we broke the lip off of it. He had a really big fish explode on it before that happened. He since has replaced the Crane with another Crane, but the Big Game seems to be catching more fish. |

The last couple years on Sabaskong most the fish we would locate in the morning or the middle of the day would not be "home" when we went back to them when conditions changed. Only a few fish on this years trip stayed on their spots till evening. |

| Don't discount throwing a large piece of rubber, or even short casting your lure back at the fish. |
