If you only have cash for 1. Start with the Dirdy B. Tom W. is the owner and a great guy to work with. I was lucky enough to use this bait last year as a proto type and crushed the skis. Hamernik just got his 57.5" on a big Mama walk the dog bait. If you need to get in touch with him shoot me a pm

I guess for me (and I can all you snicker) it would have to be a HawgWobbler. There slow to fish and not to flashy, but if I know there is a fish in a particular spot its a great fish producer. Hook ups are great and its deadly in the 8. But for me the best trait of this lure is its pretty much idiot proof. Cast and reel.

For prop baits, I've done good with Le Lure Globes and alright with a Tally Whacker. I like black for the lakes that I fish. My dad has a Globe with no paint left on the body from catching so many fish on it.

Also have a few Jackpots that I've done good with, biggest fish I've ever seen hit on a Jackpot and I pulled the lure out of it's mouth before it could chomp down.

You won't hear me snicker about Hawg Wobblers. Always a go-to bait for me. And not just for 'skis. Last week when the water was too hot to musky fish I broke out some baby wobblers and went bass fishing top water style. Man, that was fun!

I agree with most everything already listed and would like to throw in the flaptail in there too. Sennett makes a good one as does Joel Wick.

Guys, I love using monster wagles... like launching a mortar round. However, I did use a Suick NightWalker last year with much success in my boat. Small bait, great action and HUGE hooking percentage. Love that little bait!
