Not sure if theese are old pics, but I had not seen them. Email I got said it was from Minnatonka this past weekend. Measured 53". That is a muskrat tail sticking out of its mouth, got it half way swallowed and appears to have choked on it.

Did it choke on it or did the muskrat fight back killing the musky?

I think the musky was just trying to eat a balanced diet.

thats pretty neat. sux the fish expired. reminds me of a time on the Chip around cranberry bar. two full size ducks swimming out from our boat about two cast lengths away. all of a sudden there was ONE duck swimming around wondering what happened to her friend. these were full grown hen mallards. sure would have liked to see that fish!

Sure, it will eat a nasty ol' muskrat but it won't touch a single thing that I have in my tackle box.

Stupid fish.

how do you guys think a muskrat stamp might work? i propose you only make it the cost of a musky bait and then we could all go kill the muskrats that are killing our muskies!! ... i know just getting the stamp would make me feel good.

would the DNR support this or should i just write my congressman??

And here I thought Mr. Wild 'accidently caught' a beaver. He was just ahead of the curve and using it as a lure!!! I'm onto you, Norm!!

Those are from last year. A DNR agent took them after the fish was found on a Twin Cities lake (it was not Tonka)...
