| I fished Lawrence Lake for a week in 2001. Loved that lake, but no muskies. Is Lawrence a lake that could be fished for an afternoon if I stay on Rowan? I know it's not far, but is it too far? q | |||

Posts: 540 Location: Leech Lake, Walker MN | Lowrance lake flows into Hill lake and that flows into Rowan I have boats on hill great fishing there. The m.n.r of ont. says where you can have boats and where you can't have boats. The falls from law. To hill is quite a drop. Hope I answered your question | ||

| No need to go all the way to Lawrance lake as Hill Lake has some exceptional walleye and largemouth / smallmouth bass fishing. We usually spend a couple of 1/2 days in Hill fishing for walleye and bass and have a shore lunch and then we are back to Rowan Lake to chase muskies. Nielsen's have a couple of boats to use on Hill lake. It's just a few steps between Rowan and Hill lake. Hill Lake is a short boat ride from Nielsen's Fly-In Camp and they have a number of other bays in Rowan and other smaller portage lakes you can catch all the lake trout, walleyes and bass you want... We primarily chase muskies on Rowan, but our kids love to have the multi species option, shore lunch and they love all the action and tugging on the other end of their fishing lines.... | |||

| Thanks! The main reason to go back to Lawrence would just be nostalgia. It's the only lake I've fished in Canada and I have some very fond memories. I'm sure I will make great new memories whenever and wherever I fish the next time I return to Canada.....which I hope is in the near future! | |||
