| Fished for about 6 hours today and got skunked. I did see what keeps us coming back for more. I had a follow that looked like an easy 45"++, with a huge gut. I would guess 30lb+. Followed a magic maker right to my boat but wouldnt bite. Had one other small follow but no hits. I plan to hit it again tomorrow and maybe this time she will be hungry. I love these 5 day weekends!! See ya on the water :)

| Randy, sounds like you got the fever bad. Glad to see you are having fun. I wish I lived where you do! Keep at it and you will have a thirty pounder before the ice makes us stop fishing.[:)] |

| I have the same affliction. I can have a WEEK with no boated fish, like my wek on the Goon this year, yet can't wait to hit the water again because it is always the NEXT CAST!!![] |

| Fished for about 3 hours today..No luck. Winds were 20 with gusts at 30mph. Tuff to follow weed lines and find fish. If I had a follow I couldnt see it. Would still be out there but the guy I took with me had to be home. Do muskies do anything different during high winds, or do they follow the same patterns?? Thanks

| I saw on many tapes that they tend to move to windblown shorelines and points. Also the upwind side of weedbeds and reefs or structures: meaning, where the wind hits that structure or weedbed first. Also check for any lake current and fish the upwind side first (like left and right of a narrowing in the lake or between two islands, or an island and the shore) and then look for current in the eddies behind the narrowing. Also, don't overlook the narrowings between islands that are deeper than 6 feet and have weeds in them!) I learned all of this from bob meshikomer and jim saric tapes. It seems to work well for pike too in Europe, sadly where I live we don't have these structures.
