Im looking at buying a few of these and I was wondering what sizes you guys like and what colors? I fished mostly stained water but occasionally will fish clear. And what times of year do they work the best?

I have a large hardhead in rusty color with an orange flake tail....first cast I ever took with it I hooked up with a ski...3 other fish took a bite at it that day also....Tail up gives one action while tail down gives it a different action. Its a very versatile bait and you should definitely invest in some. They are great baits

You could say I boated a few on them. Work from opener to close. Much more versatile than the other rubber baits out there due to weighting system, tail replacement/swapping ability, and the ability to run with the tail up or down depending on what kind of action you want from the bait. Unless the stupid fish hit your leader, :(, the bait is an outstanding hooking bait with the hard front end.

Roger also keep improving on the bait either through tail attachment, durability, paint schemes, or tail options. What other rubber bait can you go from a curl tail type to a paddletail type and use the same "business" end of it?

I mostly use the large size. Every so often for the WI or MI opener I will toss the small size. The new Buckethead size fills the niche of a pounder sized bait.

Throw in Roger would probably paint you whatever custom colored body you want, and great customer service how can you go wrong?

Stay tuned as Roger is always coming up with something new.

As said the bait is versatile. With the different weight combinations you can make it run at the surface to as deep as yoi want it too. Nice belly roll too.

I can't add much detail to what has been written already since they have been covered but yes, they are a great bait. One of my top producers since I bought my first one... which is still going strong after a few year's use. Can't say that about most rubber baits. Top to bottom and year round they catch fish. It's been one of my better WI opener baits, and works all season long.

I have a large, 8 oz size that has caught most of my fish, but also got the big buckethead last year. It did well for the amount of time I threw it. I like the walleye pattern, which is usually a pretty versatile color, but whatever suits your preference will work.
