Location: New Jersey | I was thinking of giving Rattlebait fishing a try again here in NJ this year and was wondering what brand of Rattlebaits you guys out in KY, IL and IN use? I know that Bill Lewis lures makes a couple sizes, Windel's makes them and so does Tony Grant. Anyone care to share on what works best? |

Location: South-Central VA | Tony Grant's Fat Belly Rattler is a winner. As far as rattle-trap type baits, I use Tony's and Lewis lures.
Make sure you use a rod with a light, forgiving tip to throw them. A rod with a faster, stiffer tip will pull those light wire hooks right out.

Location: New Jersey | Thanks Jeremy. I have a custom rod built on a Legend Top N' Tail blank that is rated 3/4-3 and tosses light stuff very well. I was gonna use that. |

| Use a small wire leader, 58lb test is I think 0.41mm and a split ring to connect to the bait. No snap or swivel as that adds weight and effects the action. |
