| I always considered Muskie fishermen a 'beer and pretzels' crowd.
When I first heard about the $330+ St. Croix Legend Tournament Musky Rods I said "would you like some cheese with your Chardonnay?"
Now that old model Sling Blades are reduced $100 at St. Croix bargain room, a 'hard cider and beef jerky' fellow like myself can afford a Sling Blade too!

| I was picking through spinning rods today, and picked up one that was really light tight and outa siight. Thought geez, if this is under $100 I'm buying it.
It wasn't. St. Croix legend, $175, and hownhall did that get down to southern KY?

| I picked up a classic jerk. I know the trend is for heavier rods, but I held a 6'9" rod recently and loved how light it was. I felt like I could throw baits on it all day without feeling tired. I also have been looking for a shorter rod that was rated for heavier lures, as I have been using a 7ft compre, but it only rated to 3oz and it feels way to whippy when throwing glide baits. |
