Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | I backed my 690T into my kids tricycle in the garage as I put it away for winter storage last year. I was going to order a like replacement tail light that broke in the process, but after switching the trailer lights on my other 2 boats over to LED's, I would like to do the same in this case. Does anyone know if there is a direct replacement LED tail light kit for this trailer, circa 2001? Thank you. Edited by Reef Hawg 3/31/2012 11:16 AM

Location: 31 | Hey Jason, I'm not sure on the LED taillights but you can retrofit the reverse lights with small LED driving lights. It honestly doesn't provide the kind of backup lighting I had hoped for, but they were less expensive and look like they will hold up better than the original equipment. I just looked at the taillights posted and these are totally different than the ones on my trailer. Mine are round, and I think they are already LED. Edited by Jerry Newman 4/1/2012 7:54 PM

Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Just replaced both tail lights on my 2003 Ranger trailer with LED's. Trailer is for a 618vs console. I did have to order like 3 sets before my dealer got it right. The brand I ended up with was Wesbar I believe. They are angled on one end.

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Thanks guys. Brian, could you send a photo of your tail lights at some point over the next month if possible? It sounds as if that may be a similar style(wrap around slightly angled on outside). Thank you.

Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Here are some pics. I had to mount them upside down to mirror how the originals were mounted, there is actually a white license plate light that instead of facing down and on the left side of the trailer is now facing up and on the right side of the trailer. I also have a small metal guard that goes around the bottom of the lights, but these ones sit a little lower and I need to figure out a simple spacer to get those remounted, just haven't done it yet. http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu95/thrax_johnson/IMG_0263.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu95/thrax_johnson/IMG_0264.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu95/thrax_johnson/IMG_0265.jpg Edited by thrax_johnson 4/1/2012 1:56 PM

I'm not actually trying to create a decibel meter, but something that lights up like one Manually. The purpose of the tube and light strips are to create it on a larger scale, the product suggested below seems a little complicated if I just want to turn on a light to a certain colour at a certain height and change it at will. Also the lit LEDs all need to be the same colour when it reaches that level of either red, yellow/orange or green. The strips I've seen can generate different colors, but I'm not sure if it is based on the strip or controller if it will light up individually and independently. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LED Tubes led bulbs lights LED Tube

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Thanks guys. Just back from the northwoods with the little rig, and finaly ready to get her out and lights replaced. I'll check fleet. Edit: didn't even spill the box of gummy bears on the back of the trike. Couldn't find a scratch, only a sticker with Grover laughing at me, near the end of the handle bar that did in my lens. Posts: 176 Location: Tomahawk, WI | Im ready to pull the trigger on new tailights for my 98 690 Ranger Trail, the Westbars are what im going with. I also want to replace the (2) yellow clearance lights and the (3) red tail lights to LED's. The original yellow ones on the side of my trailer look to have a power (black wire) and a ground (white wire). The original red ones on the back have only (1) black wire. Does anybody know of a direct LED replacements for these would be much appreciated. Also these lights look to be rivited in, how would the new LED"s mount? Any help would be great. I would like to order but cannot figure out the clearance light issues i listed above.

Posts: 176 Location: Tomahawk, WI | Sorry about the post hijack Reef, but you may also want to replace your clearence and marker lights also as long as your doing your tail lights. Mike
