How are you suppose to keep your posts updated then, if you can't add a post to your own selling thread and let someone you reduced a price who might just be seeing the "buy sell trade" section for the first time. Only makes sense to me to keep items moving faster. If not they just get buried in pages of old posts. Seems a little weird to me, to be that strict!

Posts: 293 | I think theres a fine line on the whole bumping issue...if someone legitimately does lower everything to sell I don't think it's an issue to do it just once.

Posts: 3480 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya, It is to honor those threads that were posted after yours so they don't get bumped off the front page anywhere near as fast. It really works well here with that process. I've had people ask me about things from up to 6 months ago. We must all face it...if it is allowed, it gets abused....plain and simple... Just update your price...if people have seen the thread, have an interest in any lures not sold and you have reduced your price, they will find it.

Posts: 811 | Unfortunately, you either run into people updating their posts with legitimate information or re-posting the same stuff over and over again. Personally, as a buyer and seller I will look at almost every new post the interests me but rarely find interest with something I have looked at before now with a "lower" price of only maybe a dollar or two. I do think that if someone wants something the potential seller will be willing to negotiate the price, especially seeing how the alternative for a seller is to either keep the item or deal with the dread of eBay. Personally, I will do anything to make someone happy with something that I am selling just not to deal with eBay. MuskiesFirst is a great resource for not only those seeking information but for those who want to stock up on baits or move lures they don't need!

Posts: 32890 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The rules are there for good reason and have made this a pleasant place to buy and sell Muskie gear for over a decade. Follow them. Last thing we need are dozens of sensationalistic titles in all caps with 26 exclamation points proclaiming a miraculous price drop on a lot of freaking used lures. The competition for attention would ruin the board in a week. You can bump the thread by posting new information but do NOT make a mess of this board by sensationalizing the title, please.

Posts: 8788 | Considering that most muskie anglers have about 10x as much stuff as they will ever use, I'd be glad I had a venue to sell any of it at all.

Posts: 1270 | Can you clarify something for me quick? In the latest update of what's allowable to sell here it says the minimum has been raised from $850 to $1000 per thread but then says $850 per item with a maximum of $1000 total. I'm confused - easy to do! Can we sell an item for $950 or $1000 on here or is $850 the maximum per item?
