Got a friend going up on a house boat trip for a week to the Big V. I have never hired a guide up there and don't know what to tell him. Any suggestions?

I've been out with Matt Snyder a number of times and he was great. Each day was a ton of fun, we moved a lot of fish, and I learned a ton about that lake. I'd recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.

I'd say Bob Benson or Luke Ronnestrand. Either one of these two hands down

Josh Borovsky is the passionate musky fisherman I've ever met. His fish sense is unparalled, and always puts fish in the boat. I've been out with him many times, and you will not be disappointed.

I'd recommend Josh as well. He really focuses on teaching you how to catch fish while showing you where as well.

Matt Snyder would be the guy to hire IMO. PM me for his number. Josh and Luke also have great reputations, but I know Matt and fish with him down here in Southern Illinois in the spring. He knows how to get the big girls on BIG V to eat.

Hammernick has the personality of a stump. Luke Ronnestrand is really good but keeps a MESSY boat. (Don't get hooked by the piles of baits.)
