Posts: 265 Location: Manitowish Waters WI | Got my brother his first big fish on opener (47.5), absolute slobber for the time of the year. I lost mine, a mid 40s and my buddy got a 34. Saw about 20 fish over the last 15 hrs of fishing, moving but real lazy. photo (2).JPG Edited by esox1980 6/4/2012 10:14 AM Attachments ---------------- muskie.png (111KB - 184 downloads)

Posts: 56 Location: Stanley, WI | My buddy and I caught a pair of 38" fish on the Wisconsin River this weekend. Unfortunately, we also saw a 40"+ fish floating in a bay on Boom Lake Friday night.

Posts: 1405 Location: Detroit River | It was a good opener on LSC for most guys that battled the winds. A lot of the fair weather fisherWOMEN stayed home & watched OWN. I managed to put a fat one in the boat early but as the winds picked up I got tossed around too much in my little boat. ![]()

Posts: 1308 Location: WI | Fished 3 different lakes in NW WI. Had a ton of follows, but no hitters! Hit a new lake and saw around 13 fish, only 3 were sub 40". Definately planning to go back there!

Posts: 156 | High skies and wind on the Manitowish Chain most of the weekend. Fished two days for one follow and a hammer handle pike. Pulled the boat and tried Lower Turtle for a change of mindset. One follow from a short fish early. A 24" and a small pike within 4 casts at 2pm. 3 days of fishing for a 24" :*( but still better than being at work. All of my action came on a bluegill Rapala Glidin Rap. Feel like I really screwed up not throwing the Glidin' Rap more, and also a Hellhound. I saw early on the trip that I couldn't even get pike to go and then got one when I switched to a glider. Ignored that and kept trying swimbaits, jerks and grinding.

Location: Minocqua, WI | Had another good weekend. Clients Saturday, all first timers, boated a nice 38.5 and lost 3 others and had a handfull of follows. Boated a 35 and a 42.5 on sunday, lost one about 40 and saw 2 others, one short and another about 40. Took my dad and a family friend out last night for a bit and boated a fat 40 and had one other hot follow right at dark behind a topwater. Back out tonight after work for more. I wish this forum would let me post a pic... Anyway, good luck to everyone this week/weekend. Should be good fishing! Most action has been on rubber/ large jerkbaits and medium sized bucktails. The follow last PM was my first action on topwater so far this season, though I havent thrown much for surface lures. Tried for a bit after dark but not much action thus far for a night bite. Water temps in Minocqua area in upper 60s and even low 70s during day. Mid 60's most everywhere in AM. Tight lines.
