| When a friend owes you money and he knows he can get a good deal by offering to pay you back with muskie baits. | |||

Posts: 200 Location: Minnesota | You know you spend too much time fishing when you wake up on your wedding day and the first thought is where you're going to fish instead of the other event happening that day. The wedding was at 4:00 and it only takes me 30 seconds to do my hair. Might as well go fishing. You know you spend too much time fishing when you make your 1 year wedding anniversary forever memorable by putting a 7/0 treble through your toe and making your wife cry because you were too stupid to wear shoes in the boat. Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | You remember the exact number of Northerns and Muskies over 40 inches that you have caught, but can't remember your own children's birthdays. You can't sleep well for two weeks after losing a big Muskie. But you don't even take a picture of a state record Smallmouth Bass before releasing it. You spend two months of physical therapy rahabbing your shoulder so you can throw Muskie lures again - and you injured your shoulder fighting a big Muskie in the first place. Is there something wrong with this picture? I hate looking in the mirror sometimes.....

Posts: 410 Location: one foot over the line | you spend an hour and a half in the fishing pole section at your favorite sport shop, looking for the exact weight, length, backbone, etc...(that you HAVE to have) you are overjoyed when you finally find it and purchase it. you drive home, open the garage door and find the exact same pole leaning in the corner

Location: Ontario, Canada | When you tell your soon to be wife to change the wedding date because it falls on the muskie opening date, and you will not be at the wedding otherwise. I should also say my wife of 26-yrs (I think it's been that long) was/is a fishing gal, and when I told her of the wedding date problem (not for me, but for her), she did say sorry that she let the important date slip her mind. Also, you know you spend to much fishing when: You got the girl in your bed room for the first time and you pull out your large styrofoam cooler of muskie baits to impress her. She did say years later that after seeing my muskie bait(s) that she knew I was the guy for her. Well, I guess I can throw a couple more in. My wife says that you know you spend to much muskie fishing when: A portable toilet in the boat, and a good reel/rod is more important than an engagement ring. You know you spend to much fishing when: You will not stop fishing so the female in the boat can go ashore for a few moments, or when you start to see that most times she is using the portable you get a muskie on, so you start trying to talk her into drinking an exorbitant amount of fluids to keep her on the portable because your casting to hooking a muskie ratio might go up. My wedding date was on April 28th of this year and we moved it because I had a Muskie tournament I was fishing in that day.

How about when your pregnant wife's in the boat with you, but you ask her to hold it for another 30 minutes because you're in the middle of a major. That one didn't make me too popular.

Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | In me younger days I'd fish myself into a frazzle. I carried a coleman stove, coffe pot, eggs , bacon in the cooler along with some bread and lunchmeat just so I did not have to go to land. I once woke up in my sleeping bag on the floor of my boat with about 3 " of rain water on the floor. The bag weighed in around 400 lbs or so. It was sunny when I woke up! Ah...those were the days!

Posts: 121 Location: Plymouth IA | My oldest due date was on annual fishing trip weekend with my buddy 21 years ago and my wife, 9 months pregnant, just said "if your pager goes off meet me at the hospital". I am the luckiest fishing fool alive and my wife is a Saint.

![]() | My dig loves getting squirted by the hose. So yesterday I was spraying him and making him chase it and i found myself doing figure 8 patterns. Wow.

Posts: 410 Location: one foot over the line | I was out shooting my 45 cal. semi the other day, and as i was jacking a shell in the chamber, i accidently gouged my thumb with the slide, and as the blood started coming out, i immediately said to myself, "i hope i can still thumb my baitcaster for my musky trip in 7 days".

Location: Northern Wisconsin | As you search for jobs your number one concern is how close it is to good musky water. Any place unfamiliar then you search WI DNR musky lakes classification: http://dnr.wi.gov/fish/musky/muskywaters_countylist.html

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | There is never a situation of there being too much time fishing. You do realize that you are starting to fish enough when you get into the truck and your hand reaches for the throttle instead of the shifter.
