I went out last night and bought a Calcutta 400 TE. I want to order a power handle for it but Dave's has several different ones for it. Any suggestions?

Posts: 217 Location: Downers Grove, IL | I have two TE's and a different power handle on each - one with the counter weight, one like the Trinidad's without. Go with the Trinidad style. It has a much wider radius than the counterweight one, by at least 3/4". In fact, it has two settings to go even wider. Having fished both, the Trinidad style give you much better power with less effort due to the wider radius.

Avet JX handle fits the Calcutta TE. They come recessed and work great.

The LX handle also fits. You can use the Avet plate and screws with the Calcutta nut.

OK, I have a 400 Power Handle and want to put it on my 400TE but the hole is too small. Looks like a small metal file could do the trick. Anyone try this? Thanks Mike D

You just want to make sure that you keep the new hole centered on the old one so that the retainer cover and screw still line up with the little threaded hole. Go slow, take a little off and check, repeat. It's actually pretty easy.

I'm wondering as well - is the trinidad handle balanced enough without a modified counterweight? I was thinking of this one, the 400bsv or the 700bsv one
