I sanded the paint off of a bobbie bait, but I was wondering what paint thinner would do to the bait, would it be destroyed?? I have several more baits remove the paint from, so I was thinking paint thinner would help. Thanks for any advice.

| If your planning on repainting the bait ,use a good primer (white) .Then paint your bait.

use waterproof sanding paper with a grain of 200 and sand the colored paint off it under flowing water. Then add a white primer and paint the pattern you like. It's that easy! I fear that paint thinner will ruin the bait because it will react with a new paint you add over it.

Thanks for the advice I will try the primer.

you can also use a fine woodfile to get you started on, removing the paint (get through the coating) and then use the sanding paper. It's even easier.
